The Maple Festival

We took a little road trip to central New York for the Maple Festival the first weekend of April. The boys were super excited for the train ride to the actual festival sight. Henry was in the middle of a tantrum, but managed to say "cheese" for the picture.

We loved sampling all the maple products. Maple syrup (freshly made), maple cream (maple lovers version of peanut butter), maple suckers, and maple cotton candy- nothing like a little sugar rush to dispel the gloom of the cloudy skies.
It was a great little get away and we're continuously grateful to live in a place with such fabulous day trips!

hey, you guys! it's so fun reading about your family. sounds like you are having a blast in ny. wish we had a maple festival here. sugar in any form is definitely my favorite indulgence. =) i need to get my hands on some of that maple cream!

and yeah! no more diapers! after this last diaper rash, i can't wait. even though eva's a little too young for "training" she now still gets to sit on the potty between diaper changes for a few minutes, usually until she's too tired to hold herself up anymore and starts falling in.

Considering our day trips consist of....well, I'm not even sure, I have to say how jealous I am of where you live! How amazing to have such great resources close to you. Your boys are darling!
