Spring Cleaning

I am the worst at getting my hair cut; I love it, but never do it. My last decent hair cut was in May of 2006. It was way past time; I was living in a pony tail 24/7. One of Jordan's fellow residents did all the research and found me a great salon where a couple of weeks ago I had my hair chemically straightened (like a reverse perm) and cut. I am super excited to say that I am no longer a white girl with an afro.

Augusta National

Thanks to Jordan's brother Jamey's great connections, Jordan was able to attend a practice round for The Masters with his dad and Jamey. Jordan has spent his entire life watching The Masters, so getting to see Augusta National up close and personal was an amazing treat.

The Maple Festival

We took a little road trip to central New York for the Maple Festival the first weekend of April. The boys were super excited for the train ride to the actual festival sight. Henry was in the middle of a tantrum, but managed to say "cheese" for the picture.

We loved sampling all the maple products. Maple syrup (freshly made), maple cream (maple lovers version of peanut butter), maple suckers, and maple cotton candy- nothing like a little sugar rush to dispel the gloom of the cloudy skies.
It was a great little get away and we're continuously grateful to live in a place with such fabulous day trips!

Sunday Visitor

Wouldn't you be so excited if this were your child? We were entertained all Sunday by watching the neighborhood Asian children enteract with this little skunk. Toward the end of the day, they loaded it up on a skateboard and took it into the woods. One little guy even asked if he should get it a blanket.
